Beautiful fluid art and jewels of the earth inspired by the harmony of nature

A Message from the Artist

Inspiration surrounds me everywhere, and I draw my ideas from the exquisite colors of nature and the balance of life. I strive to put the essence of what I see into my paintings and let the flow of the paint create what I feel. What I love about abstract fluid painting is the unexpected flow and mixing of the paint. No matter how I intend for a painting to come out it is always a surprise. In every case the paint takes on its own unique form and I work with what I see to bring out the beauty of the colors and shapes.

In the acrylic pour technique, I work while the paint is wet, often making hundreds of alterations to a single piece before it dries. See the process in action here.

In my watercolor paintings I mostly work wet in wet, that is wet paper and liquid paint, and let the mixing of the water and paint happen right on the paper. The magic of color dances across the paper in incredible patterns that will eventually form an abstract image which I then ‘tweak’ into what I see. Watch the process here.

I have been painting since 2000, and am mostly self taught. I've been a member of the San Diego Watercolor Society throughout the years, and have studied with such renowned watercolor artists as Barbara Nechis and Tom Tiedman.

I look forward to sharing my art journey with you. Thank you for visiting my site.
